Registration of Birth/Death
For birth and death registration citizen are advised to take hospital acknowledgement slip before hospital discharge.
Births in a Hospital or Nursing Home:
Any person authorized by the medical institution is eligible to register the birth.
Birth in a house:
The head of the household is eligible to register the birth with the concerned authority.
Birth in a public place:
The head of the corresponding village or the officer in charge of the local police station in the area is eligible to register the birth.
A death can be reported and registered by the head /guardian of the family to the concerned authority in case the death occurs in the house.
